Re: Cannot contact the seller

You cannot report this to eBay as they do not offer warranties or guarantees on items, just that they are just as described on receipt.  If they are not,  a buyer has 30 days under eBay's 30 day MBG,  Money Back Guarantee policy,  to return the item for a full refund.

If you bought this from a Private seller you are too late to claim a refund.  You could try your payment provider you may just be in time to try and claim a refund from them.

If purchased from a registered UK business, who offered a guarantee and is now not upholding this,  then turn to Citizens Advice for your next steps,  if you wish to take this further.

Really?  After 6 months?  That's completely contrary to policy.

Perhaps you could let us know how you managed that within a couple of hours of asking about a refund.

eBay's Money Back Guarantee is for 30 days, and you're way, way past that timeframe.

What Papso and Vy said.

If you have been refunded after all these  months please do let us know how you managed it for the sake of other members who have the same issue.

I got InTouch with eBay chat and explained I had tried to message the seller to no avail.i even went on one of there other items that they selling to message them .but still had no joy.
Then spoke to a chap on eBay chat and he checked it all out and sorted me a refund as he could see I have tried to reach out to the seller.
And today I had a response from the seller on the other item they are selling just saying( it's to late) .I'm so glad I spoke to eBay chat in the end.

Re: Cannot contact the seller

Refunds go back to actual payment source and not always instant, is it showing already ?

Did you pay by credit card?  Sorry, for all the questions,  but it's good to know the answers , so we can help others.

Re: Cannot contact the seller

This all makes no sense whatsoever, eBay don't make refunds for items bought 6 months ago, even if the seller offers a warranty.

If they did, it would open the floodgates for all kinds of claims.

Or was this a refurbished item?

I know!  Hence the questions to confirm the refund is sat sitting in the payment source.

As we all know here full well,  eBay CS will tell you whatever you want to hear true or not,  just to get you off the line.
