Today I sold a toy car, sent in a small padded envelope. I later checked my bank statement and saw that £5.15 was removed from my account. I later found out that from now on this huge fee will be taken from me for every single package I send. And for some bizarre reason all my listings has been set to Evri deliveries. The crooked, unreliable, thieving, corrupt, awful Evri. Is Evri free or something, and we take a massive gamble that our packages make it to their destination? Is it only Royal Mail that this £5.15 theft is taken from us? I thought Simple Delivery was meant to be, you know, SIMPLE?
I cannot afford to sell on Ebay anymore, I'm done.

I can't work out what has happened here but I think you have misunderstood how Simple Delivery works.

Upgrade to business seller.
No more SD, you choose postage method & cost.

You would not have to use Simple Delivery if you were registered as a business seller.

Then I have to pay Ebay monthly fees to be a business seller. I'm here to make money not hand it all over to Ebay.

I've been using Simple Delivery for months. There was never a £5.15 fee for QR code labels. How can I understand something that keeps changing and makes no sense.

Whether it's cost effective to sell on ebay should not be a factor in deciding what sort of account to have.
If you are a business the only way not to break a number of laws is to have an ebay business account.

I've always been a private seller and managed not to break any laws. Ebay are trying to make conditions impossible to remain a private seller on this platform.
