I ordered, incidentally as a eBay guest, a Neilsen alloy wheel refurbishment & restoration repair kit. Delivery was prompt (package received 15/8/2025).

But the kit sent to me was incomplete and evidently already partly used! Returning it presumably would cost me.

How do I obtain a refund of the £8.90 paid for the kit?

I emailed to eBay on 18th August (twice) but no reply; so I emailed to seller on 23rd August but no reply so far. Subsequently I've phoned to seller on 3 occasions (3rd Sep, 5th Sep and earlier today Mon 8th Sep) but each time an automated message says they are currently closed etc. Is there anyone at eBay I can speak with?

In meantime (today) I have registered or re-registered as a eBay member. The subject purchase isn't shown, presumably because it was ordered as a 'guest'.

Guest purchases will never show on any ebay account.

See here to open item not as described case.

seller provides returns label, you post back for full refund.

Escalate to ebay on day 4 if no label or refund.

Ignore seller excuses, open & escalate case ASAP.

Thanks tobiasd4, I've tried the link you included. But eBay system then doesn't recognise my purchase!

It was ordered online on 12th August and received 15th. eBay or seller Order No: 13-13437-67582

All you can do is try contacting ebay CS.

Make sure you have all details ready.

Have you tried entering that order number without the dash ' - ' ? Maybe that will work.

If not as tobias says contact CS.
