Hi about 3 years ago I sold a few high end designer toiletries which were unwanted gifts. Now eBay will not let me sell any toiletries on my account.
it states “
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to complete your listing. You’ve reached your listing allowance and won’t be able to list any more of certain top cosmetics brands in Health and Beauty category.
To continue selling top cosmetics brands in this category, you’ll need to register as a business seller. In some of these cases, your listing allowances may be increased.”
I can completely understand this for a year say to make sure business sellers aren’t registered as private ones but surely like this a life time ban?! What can I do? I cannot find a way to contact eBay either. I don’t want to register as a business when I’m not 😞

To sell cosmetics and Health Beauty products these have to be Brand New.
To sell all Brand New items, you do have to register as a Business.
It doesn't matter how many you sell, but if all the items are Brand New, this constitutes a Business, and if you wish to continue selling you will have to register as one.

This doesn’t seem right though because it says if you register as a business seller you have to:
but I don’t have a business name etc as I’m not a business I just want to sell a few unwanted toiletries 😞

I am a member like yourself and can only relay eBay's rules on selling toiletries.
You don't have to have a business name you can just convert the Private account you are using now to a Business account this way:
You may need a PC / laptop and not the app or mobile browser to do this. Use Chrome that seems to work well with eBay.
