When someone bids on my auction. I am not getting a notification. Am getting others like sales

So I spent ages yesterday with chat Agent.

Finally was told to go to https://commspreferences.ebay.co.uk/commsprefs

Turn of all my checked boxes and got to Marketing and turn them off also.

Turn on 2 hours later.

I did next day and still no option for Bid notifications.

Although I did see this option on my Ebay App on my phone.

I turned that on and still got a bid without notification

Why isn't it available as a setting when I use my PC.

Anyone else experiencing this problem and found a solution????

As you need to look at messages, surely simple enough to look at active items with bids.

No I was wanting email nofications, as I get when I've sold. Should be able to be notified when someone bids on my item. Surely, without having to keep going on line to check. I use my PC as I find ebay app very difficult to use on the phone.
