Beware of buying any 2nd hand Sonicwall equipment.
I have found an issue after purchasing a 2nd hand Sonicwall TZ400 Firewall.
It was purchased from an IT Clearance Seller here, and delivered in great condition and great price. But when trying to register it with Sonicwall it failed because it was still registered to the previous owner. Unfortunately the seller did not have contact details (or the original own er had ceased trading), and so I advised Sonicwall who tried 2 attempts to contact them. Both of which failed.
The email I received from Sonicwall basically states that as they had no response from the original owner they cannot register the product to me and there is nothing more that can be done. So the perfectly good and working piece of kit cannot be updated, upgraded, or anything else past what it is currently set at.
The seller did refund me in full without me asking, which I was very appreciative about, but beware of buying any 2nd hand Sonicwall equipment.
