The new ai is taking away from buyers actually knowing what they are purchasing. Instead of the seller been honest with what they are selling and giving details about their individual item, this new ai fills it in for them. There is now no information on how used an item may be, whether or not it functions or has any problems and it no longer has any other personal emotions of an actual seller.

Yep, it certainly does not portray the full picture of an item being sold, especially if it's not Brand New.
A sign me thinks in my humble opinion, of a little laziness on the part of a seller using these AI descriptions, and also opening themselves up for possible cases for item not as described, as you rightly say, it doesn't describe the item fully or correctly.

eBay now also allows sellers to copy and use any other seller's photos of a similar item, so the item shown may not even be the actual one the seller is selling. Sellers are prohibited from marking photos as their own, which would reveal that they have been copied.
I simply can't understand why eBay doesn't realise that having meaningless, flowery descriptions written by a computer and photos which may or may not be of the actual item for sale can only undermine the reputation of the site.
Personally, I would most seriously suggest that sellers write their own descriptions - and state that the item in the photos shows the actual one they are selling.
