Auction/ BIN

I’m hoping you can advise.

I had a buyer who wanted to purchase an item immediately, so I amended the listing to include a Buy It Now price. To do this, I had to lower the auction start price.

The buyer has since placed a bid that is £5 lower than the Buy It Now price and says she cannot see the Buy It Now option at all.

Could you please confirm whether placing a bid removes the Buy It Now option for that bidder, and if so, whether there is any way for the buyer to still proceed with Buy It Now?

Many thanks for your help.

Auction/ BIN

Yes, placing a bid removes BIN (unless you use a reserve but that's minimum £50).    If you cancel the bid the BIN should reappear.    If not you'd have to end the listing and relist at the agreed price.

Thanks for swift reply. If I end listing it says I may incur fees- any idea how much these would be as a percentage of cost of item? It may work out more expensive that letting customer having it for £5 off! Thank you.

It was 5% but not sure if that's still a thing.   Have you tried cancelling the bid to see if the BIN comes back?
