Hi everyone, I’m hoping someone can advise me on postage settings.
I sell a 3ft x 2ft flag, but it is folded and packed flat for posting, so it should fit within Royal Mail Large Letter size. The issue is that eBay seems to be treating it as a small parcel when I go to use the postage label option, which makes the postage cost much higher than expected.
Has anyone else had this issue where the item’s open/display size seems to affect the postage label, even though the actual packaged size is much smaller?
I’m trying to understand whether I need to change the package dimensions, listing settings, postage options, or Simple Delivery settings. Also, if eBay only offers a parcel label, am I allowed to buy Royal Mail Large Letter postage myself, post it separately, and then simply mark the order as dispatched while keeping proof of posting?
Any advice from sellers who have dealt with Large Letter items would be really appreciated. Thank you.
