Correct. For P:rivate buyers using Simple Delivery, you cannot send any revised invoices for combined postage.
Under SD rules, buyers need to put the similar sized items they are buying into their basket first, and then proceed to eBay checkout, where they'll see their postage is combined.
Many are still not aware of this, buyers and sellers alike, maybe worthwhile to add some note on your listings explaining this process if buyers wish to buy multiple items from you.
For the current issue you have 2 choices.
Either, use your own postage and send items as one parcel, but be aware here you will only have one tracking number so potential item not received item cases could be opened, with nothing to prove otherwise. Also, all the ' untracked' items payouts, would be held for a minimum of 14 days.
Or, and it's a bit of a faff, cancel all orders with the buyer's permission, relist all together in one listing for the buyer to buy and pay again. Cancelling the orders citing Buyer Requests to Cancel, fully refunds the buyer and your seller performance is not affected. This gives you one trecking number to cover all items.
For the unused Simple Delivery labels, a refund is sent to whoever paid for the SD label:
- If you selected 'Buyer pays’ when you created the listing, your buyer will automatically be refunded for any Simple Delivery label that isn’t used after 30 days
- If you selected ‘Seller pays’ and offered free postage on your listing, you'll need to fill out the Request a refund for Simple Delivery form for the label that wasn’t used. Make sure to send your request within 14 days of your item selling.
