Return under 12 month guarantee

Hi, I’m trying to get a refund for an electrical item that has stopped working within the 12 month guarantee but the seller is saying only guarantee 30 days? Your views please?

Ebay give you 30 days to return an item if it is faulty.

If you bought from a UK business seller, and the product states there is a 12 month guarantee then you must pursue this with the seller or ask Citizens Advice for 'next steps'.

the 12 month gaurantee, was that a manufacturers warranty so to speak? Have you approached them direct and or did you register the product at time of purchase?
