Click and Collect Help, no sms/email

I ordered for an item for the first time on e bay, via royal mail for click and collect.

Royal Mail says“Your item has been delivered to your nominated collection point on 05-01-2026 and it's now ready for you to collect”

But E bay still says dispatched, and the click and collect part is not blue. But it does say “Delivered to Your Collection Point by” which matches what royal mail said.

I also have no email or sms, which royal mail says i need to collect the item.

Is this normal for ebay to do?

Why do i have no email/sms message? and how can i get one if it’s needed for collection?

You do need a collection code,  and you do need to collect the item within 7 days of being notified that it's in store.

If the code does not appear soon, either in emails,  ( check Spam)  eBay message or in your order details,  then contact eBay Customer Services they'll provide this code for you.

I strongly recommend contacting CS 8 a.m. on a weekday when the lines open for ' live agents' as then, there's more chance of Dublin answering.

This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on weekends.

Automated agents will be available on chat outside of the above hours.

It's not easy to get through to CS, you just have to have perseverance! Instead of a quick option, 'Contact Us' which put you direct to a CS agent, you have to scroll past ' How Can We Help you today, to the very bottom and click on the Contact Us below Need More Help?

That takes you to an annoying AI bot but if you persevere keep asking questions it cannot answer and Insist on an agent, they do finally put you through and say .... waiting time ** minutes!
