Why does Ebay assume that items are dispatched the instant I print a label? Being old and decrepit, but still having a life that does not revolve entirely around Ebay diktat, my sales are posted next day at the earliest and often two or three days later - basically because the post office/box is located inconveniently off my beaten track. It would be fairer to buyers if I were still able to mark sales as dispatched when they actually happen!

A lot of people feel this way.
However, you have to work with the system, which marks an item as sent as soon as you access the label.
Simple answer - don't print the label until you are ready to post.

Thanks for the response - a solution I had aleady figured out.
However, it doesn't suit me, and I'm afraid buyers will have to put up any apparent delays caused by my circumstances etc. We have all put up with load of ordure from Ebay in recent months and my patience has sort of run out.
