Hi a buyer received my goods but is saying that they received something else

they Even have a picture of the box of the new item  I sold and the instructions I sent with it - but they have put an old product with it and requested a return.

i reported the buyer. Do I wait or do I need to do something before the return window ends 

I don’t want on principle the buyer to keep the goods and the money !

Typical case of switching their old one for yours. 

You still need to issue a return label and get whatever they send back.
