Hi there, I placed an order by accident and upon realising requested a cancellation. I have not heard back from the seller and the product is of a considerable amount.
The product has not dispatched yet. My concern is what if the seller ignores my request and dispatches anyways? They do not accept returns. What happens in this case?

I'm afraid if they are a Private seller with a No Returns policy then they can refuse your request to cancel , and you would not be able to return it for a refund, for the reason.... Change of Mind.

Thank you - so eBay would not mitigate in an instance when it is clear that the item had not yet dispatched and the seller could have simply cancelled? So basically with private sellers, I have no right to change my mind as a consumer. Good to know. Thanks for your quick reply!

Yep, that is correct. Private sellers unlike a Business seller, would not have to accept returns for change of mind / does not fit reasons.
This stops unwanted buyers buying multiple items, then being able to return them for those reasons, it just messes up a Private seller's account, taking the items off line for those peeps who do wish to buy the item.
