In the last 12 months I have had 53 positive feedbacks (I have sold more but not everyone leaves feedback)
I have had one negative due to the fact he had to pay duty on it ( a £20 item so not much) and now my rating has gone down to 97.9%
I think this is unfair as I have seen others with 99.something%, I have spoken to them but as I had already asked for a review and they said the neg didn't violate rules they couldn't remove it, but it seems harsh to knock me down that much.
Is there anything else I can do please?

You could have refunded the buyer, been very apologetic, and then sent them a feedback review from your feedback page. Did they open a case? have you refunded them?
Your reply to them would reflect better on you if you had begun with an apology as well.

The formula for calculating a percentage, is fixed, and if you have few sales with feedback left, then the more the % is reduced.
Admittedly My working out would slightly improve the figure, but as an example, one negative against say 50 positives is 2% so the end result would be 98%.

I did respond and apologised as I have sent to France before and no one has ever mentioned this happening, I asked if he would rescind his feedback as it wasn't really my fault, I said he could just not accept them and when they were returned I would refund him but he didn't respond to me.
