I will try to keep this factual and brief as I am losing the will to live!, having spent just shy of 2 hours on web chat trying to get a satisfactory answer with unacceptable delays in responses and generally just being swept along with their ridiculous responses.
We cannot send combined invoices and adjust postage, so buyer paid for both and I refunded the difference for the combined postage.
I happened to check my "all transactions" and noticed there was a separate line for a deduction from my available balance for the refund given. The total available balance was reduced by the refund amount and on checking my messages, ebay confirmed that the refund had been taken from my available balance and refunded back to the customer.
I then waited for the items to be delivered and then recorded as delivered by ebay (no problem) and when the available funds were withdrawn, I was surprised to see a reduced withdrawal minus the refund....it looks like it has been deducted twice. So my withdrawal was not for the full amount but as I read it, this was already taken from my ebay available funds and paid to the buyer a few days before.
So how can this be right? I have argued with ebay over this but still no proper explanation has been given. As I see it ....I refunded the buyer on the day he paid and ebay confirmed he had been refunded from my available funds but then when you draw down the payment, it again is short of what you had already refunded.
Please can someone explain this to me in simple terms, as I am going around in circles and cannot make the figures marry up. To me, I have paid this refund twice.
Thanks.....
