Empty envelope received

Hi,

Today I received a small envelope delivered by royal mail, not signed for. The return address is ebay. The sender is xilefang and looks like its come from China. Sale of goods has been selected as the contents. Inside is a small recontangle air freshener. No parcel was expected, I have no outstanding ebay orders. Has anyone any insight on why this has been sent to me? Could this be some kind of scam?

You can contact eBay Customer Services and report your findings,  but do so very first thing in the morning tomorrow if you can,  when the lines first open at 8 a.m. as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

This is the easiest and quicket way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

 https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/eua?id=5275&mkevt=1&mkpid

Lines open between 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays.

9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends.

As said,  I recommend contacting CS very first thing in the morning, when the lines first open,  as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

Sounds very much like  ' Brushing Scam'.  Google this see if it applies to what has happened here.

Thank you. It could be. Is there anyway I can report this to ebay? I've tried to have a look how to and cannot find any information.
