OK - I know this is new, but, how do you check your eBay balance.
I can see no clear, drop down on under "My eBay" which is the #1 obvious place to put it.
No - its well hidden under the "Hello xxxxx" tab, then click "Account Settings" then click "Account Settings".
So, not that easy and for something so important, you have to hunt for it.
Oh well, that's eBay for you.
PS - just been asked to add a "Label" to this post and guess what "Balance" does not appear as a label choice, so I have had to post this under "Managed Payments"

Nope you do not go to Account settings, but along the top of your homepage click on Payments then Summary.
You may need to log in again, or for security purposes, receive a code via text or email to verify it's you asking, then it's Payments >> Summary. This will show you any Available balance to withdraw.
Then if you wish to withdraw an available balance this shows how:
Click on Payments >> Summary then any payout available for immediate withdrawal, is available for you, in a big blue banner.
Click on that Withdraw > arrow, you may need to log in again, or even verify your account by receiving a text or email code.
On the pop up screen which appears, click on Withdraw found at the bottom of that screen. You will see £0.00 at the bottom, at the top a larger £0. There, manually enter the amount you wish to withdraw. Bottom right click on > Withdraw.
I am using a laptop and Chrome to receive these views.

First I don't seem to have "Payments" along the top of my home page.
Even it I did, what you are saying is not that easy - is it !!

Nope, it's not an easy process I agree, but becomes second nature after one or two goes.
First use a PC / laptop and Chrome and go to the Seller Hub if you're not on it now, here's the link straight to the Hub:
Then top right go to My eBay >> Selling
Along the top of the page which apepars, you will see the Payment tab from drop down menu there, click on Summary to show any available balance.
