Why are eBay allowing all these sellers who are advertising these Makita batteries as genuine when they are clearly fake ones surely they should be taken down.

Ebay never see the item.

Buyers open item not as described case and return for full refund, also leave appropriate feedback. 

This is only way ebay will react if enough buyers do it.
