iPhone screen incorrect

I bought a replacement screen for my iPhone, fitted it, all works but the black area around the selfie camera is wider than original and it covers the mobile signal strength indicator. I contacted the seller but had no response. I’ve started a return but I will likely damage the screen when removing it.  I couldn’t know it was the wrong screen until fitted. EBay help was useless what can I do? I want the correct screen supplied by the seller or full refund

You do have to remove that screen to send it back should the seller request a return of the item first,  before refunding.

I possess an ol' Nokia brick, so no iPhone,  but my whole family own them and have replaced screens I have never seen them crack or be damaged is this a common occurrence?

As said if the seller wants their item back you will have to carefully remove that sccreen.

It would have helped to give us some dates.

If you received the phone within the last 30 days you can use eBay's money back guarantee. There is a link to this in every listing. You will have to return the screen, but as the fault was invisible until fitted I don't imagine that any damage on removal will affect your refund.

If you have had it for longer than 30 days there's nothing you can do through eBay.
