Case opened and apparently its been handled but no news

DHL damaged an item i sent out, so the buyer opened a case and it says it requires my action. Does anyone know how long it takes for me to receive the item back or compensation? Also it was done through simple delivery so its been ‘handled’ by eBay but I have no news and apparently it requires my action.

Was it the guitar?

Are you certain it was sent using Simple Delivery?

Usually, if an item is sent with SD you do not have to take any action.

The buyer has been refunded by Ebay and they don't need to return the item.

If you go to the case, you should be able to see that it is closed with no action needed by you.

Yes.

The payment from the buyer will be passed to you.

The buyer keeps it.

They can dispose of it as they wish.

Then I don't know what will happen to it.
