Unable to contact sellers

Every time, after seeing something I like and require further info I tap the 'contact' button but all it does is take me to my messages page and in brief gives me the 'Buy it now' price of the article I'm interested in!

You haven't used your account for a while so ebay are probably classing you as a new buyer and there are activity limits for new buyers.   Adding a credit card to your ebay account for verification should help.   In your My eBay go to Account tab, towards top left > Payment information > Payments > click on Add Payment Option.

Thank you for the info and replying. I have quite recently bid on a motorbike but it didn't reach the reserve. More interestingly I was recently contacting another person about a motorbike and when I came to bid on it he had somehow band/barred me from bidding on it. This has never happened to me before and although I was still able to message him he never replayed so I have no idea why   1/ he would this   2/ why ebay would allow him to do this. Reason for telling this is I wonder if it has something to do with my in ability to contact people now    Your thoughts

Sellers block buyers for all sorts of reasons.   Maybe he realised you'd noticed a defect he didn't want to describe.  One seller blocking you wouldn't affect any other seller or anything else.

You could contact ebay and ask them to check your account for you.  You can request a callback on here:
