EBay keeping my postage money

EBay have let me have £10, which is the cost of the item, then there was postage on top, the buyer paid £14, meaning eBay haven’t let me have my postage money…I’ve had to pay the postage out of the £10…why have eBay kept the postage costs?

ebay postage is pre-paid.   You just print out the label.
