Item is sold sent by courier with tracking - I was unable to add the tracking number (disallowed by ebay) so I put it in a comment/note. Many days later its still there saying overdue dispatch........
I looked in the community forum and found this (below) answer to similar query.
What do ebay think they are doing ??? This is just ridiculous . Please think again.
SO we just sit here with items that have been sent saying they're overdue - why would I buy another label to then cancel it. Mmmmmmm.
BELOW IS COPIED FORM PREVIOUS POST (I seemed unable to add to the same post - for some reason)
To add the new tracking number and mark as dispatched you still need to generate the original prepaid label. Then go to the More Actions dropdown menu or View Order Details > Postage > Track Package > dropdown arrow and change the tracking. That has to be done on a desktop browser.
After that you can cancel the original label here:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/claims/simple-delivery/refund/seller
Or if the buyer paid for it it will be refunded to them automatically in 30 days.
Even if you cannot manage to do the above the payment will be released anyway in 14 days.

Simple delivery is compulsory for private sellers now unless the item is in eBays exclusions
As you didn't use the label supplied the only way to mark as despayched is as shown in your post, also you will not receive a refund for the postage this will be returned to the buyer who paid for it.
So the question is why didn't you use the supplied label?

Hi Thank you for your explanation.same Buyer purchased two similar items (light weight). so I used only one label.. logical?I think I'm sadly losing faith in ebay :-(JonSent from my Galaxy
Combining postage is still an issue with Simple Delivery.
Many frustrated by this, you're not alone! It's taking a Long time to fix!
Some sellers are leaving a message on their listing, for example..... ' If you wish to buy multiple items, please let me know before buying, I will relist them as one listing ,so only one postage cost is charged, combining postage is not currently possible. '

If you haven't added tracking you can do so manually this way, may be best to use a laptop / PC for this and not the app:

eBay wont automatically refund unless the buyer were to claim non receipt which you can defend by adding tracking as tressygirl explains

Can you not still follow these instructions? See my comments at the end.

Only mentors can add to any questions on here, apart from original member asking question.
Also as funds are released within 24 hours whether dispatched or not, the 14 day wait should not apply. Certainly I frequently have money released same day, although in most cases I only post on day 2.
