Seller account now at risk

I have been selling on eBay for over 20 years with consistent 100% positive feedback. Last year my “defect rate” was 2% because of 4 items that I couldn’t fulfill.  FOUR items out of thousands that’s I’ve sold over the years. So I now keep getting emails telling me that my account is at risk. I called eBay and asked what I could do about it and they basically said  there was nothing I could do other than improve my performance (4 items don’t forget!) by selling more items!. I currently have over 400 items listed, I can’t exactly make people buy them for heavens sake, so what am I meant to do!!! Twenty years as a seller, consistent 100% positive feedback, and this is how I’m treated. Any suggestions please 🙏

The defects will stay on your account for a year and, until the year has passed, Ebay will email you monthly to remind you that your account is at risk.

Not exactly motivating but it is one of the procedures that Ebay has.

There is nothing you can do practically but my advice would be:

Wait it out

Ignore the emails which essentially are sent automatically and don't really mean anything

Make sure you don't get any more defects.

Lots of sellers, including me, have been in a similar position.  Remember, it's not personal, it's just Ebay.

That’s good to know. And of course I shouldn’t take it personally but I am
so particular about what I sell, how I list it, how I send it and
ultimately making sure that the buyer is 100% happy, that it just feels
like an insult to be receiving threatening emails each month. Especially as
there is no resolution in place. But I’ll do as you suggest and just ignore
them. Thanks for taking the time to reply.
