Time period to open not received item

Hi. Is there a time period where a buyer can't open a not received case. Just had a buyer message me saying their item hasn't arrived from 10th May 2024 !!!! Told them to open a case against me, but surely this won't be able to happen considering the time period involved.

They have 30 days from the estimated delivery date on the listing.

Adding to the advice already given -

Even outside eBay's time limit a case can be opened but cannot be escalated to a claim.

However a PayPal not received case can be opened within 180 days.
