Hello, I recently sent a parcel via Royal Mail as part of a sale on eBay, but the parcel has unfortunately gone missing. I submitted a claim for the lost parcel, and Royal Mail responded, stating that it was their fault and apologizing for the inconvenience. As compensation, they sent me first-class tickets for Royal Mail services. However, I do not wish to accept this form of compensation and would prefer a refund instead.
I have tried reaching out again, but it seems the claim has been closed, and I am unable to get further assistance. I would appreciate your help in resolving this matter and ensuring I receive a refund for the lost parcel.

You're registered as a private seller so I assume you used Simple Delivery postage which covers sellers for loss or damage in transit.
If buyer opens a "not received" case ebay will refund and you keep payment.

If eBay refunded the buyer, as part of the Simple Delivery rules, then the buyer does not have to send the item back. You keep the payout.
Has eBay refunded, and let you keep the payout? Those are the rules under SD.

You mean a "not received" case? It sounds like you didn't allow time for ebay to issue the refund. RM won't give you the value of the item. I'm surprised they gave you anything as their service is arranged with ebay, not the seller.

Low value items they only send a book of 4 or 8 first class stamps. You did well to get that from them!

Your explanation is very confusing and doesn't even clearly explain whether you used eBay's simple delivery, or whether the buyer opened an item not received case under eBay's money back guarantee.
It's hard to advise you correctly without knowing this, but it very much sounds as though you didn't follow eBay's procedures correctly.
As regards compensation from Royal Mail, we don't even know what you sent or which service you used. A book of stamps was always RM's response to lost or damaged delivery where no other compensation was due.
