Before posting an item to a buyer, and in order to protect myself, I want to be able to attach a video clip to an email to a buyer who has bought an item, to show the exact item they will receive (with serial number shown) works perfectly. Is this possible?

Makes no difference to send video.
You can't prove you sent that actual item.
If buyer claims not as described, you have to accept return, issue returns label and refund on return.

"You can't prove you sent that actual item."
Thank you for your feedback. I am curious about the above comment. Surely a video showing the item working and the serial number which is unique, is proof it works.

It does not prove item you videoed was the one you posted.
If buyer claims not as described, ebay does not require proof.

I see. Thank you for your feedback. Surely this is a massive risk for sellers. How can seller protect themselves from potential scams, i.e.e: sending a working item, receiving a damaged / broken item back which does not have the same serial number as the one that was sent?
