Buyer asking to delay postage and mark item as dispatched

Hi,

I have a buyer who has paid for the item, but has asked that the item not be posted for 2 weeks as 'they are out of the country'.  I've told the buyer that this would be against eBay policy and that I'll cancel the order.

Do you have any advice on this issue?

Cancel order and relist when buyer is at home, although there is a chance you would never hear from him again.

You are correct, failure to post by the date given by ebay will damage your account.

I expect buyer has paid, but it would have been better to for him to have arranged with you to delay paying, as that would not affect your account.
