Guest checkout - Returns

Hi, 

I bought an item on guest check out. I’ve started a return on the item as it isn’t fit for purpose and I’ve paid for my return via Evri. I have had notification that the seller has my return but he hasn’t given me a refund. How can I sort this out if it doesn’t show on my account as I used guest checkout ?

The only way to guarantee a refund is to use the ebay guarantee.

You open a return case and wait for the seller to send you a prepaid label,  you don't pay for the return yourself.

The tracking is automatically loaded into the case details ans once it shows delivered you get your refund.

As you didn't follow procedure and sent the item back yourself ebay will not know it has been returned.

Can you add the tracking number to the case now? And if it shows delivered yo escalate your case if your seller has not refunded within 2 full days.

Unfortunately there is no way to force the seller to reimburse you the postage money.

I only just noticed you checked out as a guest.

This does not make any difference to you receiving a refund but it does make a difference to how you open a case.

You should go to the confirmation email and start a case from there.

However as you've already sent the item back it is all academic anyway.
