GSP

I sold an item and sent using the GSP. I posted the item on 03/12/20025 . Got a message from them saying they were running behind , it was estimated to be 18th dec-27th Dec .

Buyer opening up a case a day ago as it's not arrived. I checked the tracking it it advises that it's out to be posted to the buyer , it doesn't look like it's shifted at all. It's been through customs and states , Hub to buyer ( Step 2) - I don't know what that means . It further states that it arrived at the destination hub on the 12th Dec , Pitney Bowes , again I don't have the foggiest idea what that is.

I've never had an item go missing , so any help would be appreciated.

As long as you have proof of delivery to UK GSP centre, you are covered.

Reply to case with tracking and state it was GSP item, ebay will sort.

Pitney Bowes , again I don't have the foggiest idea what that is.

Pitney Bowes is the company that receives, repacks and then ships items for delivery abroad under eBay's GSP.

Provided you have tracking proof of successful delivery to Pitney Bowes, eBay itself will be liable for any refund claim the buyer makes for non-delivery or damage.

The money back guarantee case may be directed to you initially. You need to enter your tracking number and point out that loss or delay in international shipping to your buyer is eBay's responsibility.

In the hopefully unlikely situation that the buyer leaves you negative feedback you would be able to get this removed by eBay customer support.
