Hey! I accidentally sent money to the eBay Bank Account with Sort Code 04-19-10 and Account Number 00000040, i.e., the general eBay account you pay if you choose "Pay by Bank". The reference section is blank, so maybe it auto-returns? How do I get a refund?
Presumably you bought something, as you can’t just make a payment without buying first, so why do you want a refund? Money will have been passed on to seller.
Pay by bank has the same protection as cash payments, I.e none. You can't claim a refund from ebay and you can't claim unauthorised payment as you authorised it.
No. Accidentally as in money was sent to the most recent account I sent money to, which was the eBay account as I bought something. This time I have not bought anything, but money has been sent anyway. There is no seller.
This has been resolved as I have just got the refund. If its of use to anyone I bank with Revolut. I sent emails to eBya customer support and also contacted the bank themselves, I do not know who was the one to issue the refund.
