Incorrect item received

Before Xmas I ordered a cricut machine and bundle.

The item I received was the correct machine but not the bundle I had ordered. I received a significantly smaller and inferior bundle.

The sweller advised he doesn’t have the item I ordered and offered £20. This does not cover one of the items from the bundle let alone the whole lot.

Have I been scammed?

He has accepted a return finally, but as I keep advising him, I have opened the package and had made 1 item before I realised the issue.

All I want it fair compensation for the missing items. I can’t ask EBay to step in and the return has been accepted, but as per the above reason I don’t want to/ can’t return the item.

What I can I do? I am now significantly out of pocket. I’ve left negative feedback in the hope no one else falls into this trap but I have had to buy the missing items which are the main reason I brought that bundle over dozens of others offered! 

Feeling very frustrated. The human lesss bot has been no help with any suggestions!

Using the ebay returns system, to get a refund, you have to return, unless seller is prepared to refund without return.

Partial refunds are only available by agreement between buyer and seller.

Never accept replacements.

All information about returns is on every listing, right hand side, but no one seems to read them.

Escalate your case on day 4 if your seller hasn't either sent you a return label or a refund.

It isn't your fault your seller has made a mistake and sent you the wrong thing.

The eBay platform won’t let me escalate as technically he has agreed to a return.
It’s super frustrating.

How do I escalate? I can’t speak to a human anymore and the escalation option isn’t available.

When he accepted the return you should have received a paid for returns label.  Did that happen?

You need to have opened an ebay return case using the reason "Does not resemble description or photos"  or "Not as described"

. This will trigger a reaction from your seller to either send a return label, or he could refund you without return. Or he may even offer you a partial refund. You do not have to accept the partial refund.

If he does none of these things you will get the option to escalate on day 4 for ebay to step in,
