Hi, I’ve had an eBay account for many years. Have sold the odd thing in the past. Recently listed several things & sold a few as a private seller. All been ok.
On checking my bank statement today, I noticed a payout to EBay Commerce from a few days ago that I didn’t recognise. The amount doesn’t match anything I’ve bought/sold via eBay, nor does it match anything on my PayPal account. On tapping it in my banking app, it says a receipt is not available at this time. However, below this there is information about the merchant for this purchase including an email address: SKY@shein.com

I have purchased from SHEIN in the past (about 2-3 years ago), via the app, of which I no longer have. I still have an account for it, of which there are no current or recent orders. I think I can recall seeing someone mention somewhere (possibly Facebook) about randomly being charged small amounts by SHEIN for no obvious reason. I’ve had a look through my past bank statements & as of yet not spotted anything else to do with SHEIN, & no unexplained transactions via eBay commerce/paypal.
Like most things, it’s difficult to locate information you actually want & have ended up going round in circles in the help pages.
Anyone had similar happen to them or can shed any light on this? Have I been hacked? Is it SHEIN? It’s just odd that I cannot find anything for the same amount. I’ve looked at possible eBay fees, but there is nothing in my eBay account to say I have been charged any fees at this point for anything.
Don’t want to report it unnecessarily if I have missed something.
