Simple delivery default

I sold an item today for £6. I stated on

the selling page that I would pay for delivery.
As a result I didn’t choose Simple Delivery or Custom Postage as I was paying for delivery myself.

I packaged the item and posted it this afternoon.

I was shocked and annoyed to find that eBay  had deducted £2.70 from the £6 to pay for the postage (that I didn’t need)  all because eBay has set Simple Delivery as the default.  This is grossly unfair!!

Get the label and cancel it. Should get a refund but think it takes quite a while.

You can't cancel the label.

You have to apply for a refund, adding the tracking details for the postage you did use.

You may think this is unfair, but Simple Delivery is now mandatory for private sellers.

If you choose to sell on Ebay but not use SD, you will have to apply for a refund every time you sell an item which is eligible for SD.

Details here to apply for a refund:

You should spend half an hour or so reading about how Simple Delivery works if you plan to continue selling on the site.

Use the link below then follow the links and read the FAQs to make sure you are well informed.
