Hi all - I listed an item yesterday which I know is popular but it has had 0 views. I have had this before and eBay said it is because they need to get some items and this can take 48 hours! Is this correct? Many thanks 👍

eBay changed the way their viewing counter works. This will now only show views from the past 30 days.

eBay inform us that this now more accurately reflects views from real potential buyers by filtering most machine and bot views.

This fully explains this new change to the viewing counter.

Thanks and noted. My point was more to do with eBay vetting items I have for sale. I listed something last year and l, after 24/36 hours there were no views. I spoke to eBay and said that it was so unlikely there had been no views given the popularity of the item. eBay said they have to vet certain items before they can be listed proper.

Your item is not going through any ' other vetting'.

If I enter Boss Katana Guitar Amplifier into Search, 35 items appear, yours is clearly listed amongst them, being number 4 on the list.

@tressygirl many thanks for your help. I finally managed to speak with eBay. On some items, even though they appear live, they are not. There are certain items that eBay take 24 hours to check before actually being live. As of 1230 lunchtime it is live. Thanks for your help!
