Delivery / Collection Confusion

Hi. I recently sold an item and printed a Parcelforce label thinking I was going to send it. But the buyer collected it in person. All went well. But there was no collection code to exchange because eBay thought it was in the parcel system - especially as it was marked 'dispatched' as soon as I printed the label. (Surely they should not do this until Parcelforce actually has the parcel!) 

 

Parcelforce, or course, have not been able to deliver it (cos they never had it) and I presume therefore that is the reason it is still being classed as undelivered.

Buyer has asked me to clear it - cos he can't - but I don't know what to do next.

 

Any thoughts please?

Delivery / Collection Confusion

You can just mark the item as dispatched this wording was used for a collection item.  There is no other way as a collected item now needs to be finalised as collected,  only with that 6 digit code, which your buyer would not have received,  this not being  listed originally as a collected item.

 

You need to finalise the transaction now only on the Seller Hub here:

Go to Orders >> Awaiting Postage, click on the item then top left on View Order Details.

 

Far right from More Action drop down menu click on ' Mark as Dispatched' .
