eBay website for 2 factor confirmation

1- sends a text message with a code,  I enter the code, 

2-  sends another code via email, I enter the code

3- sends another code via text message, I enter the code and again access

 

Want to raise technical problem about this, there is no place to do it. All the automated questions are on other topics, these people don't even think that something may be wrong with their service.

 

So click on contact it goes to AI chat, with very limited question - answers. 

I ask for an agent to contact me. 

It says 2 minutes. I wait about 5 to 10 minutes, then receive an email with code to verify my email.  Not saying where to enter it.

I enter the code on the chat form with the AI , AI doesn't understand and goes into circular mode.

After 10 minutes, I receive an email saying they tried to contact weren't able to reach me - and ask me to go to my account check my phone number if it is correct! 

 

What rubbish!

They make millions and millions out of this service, but don't properly staff or provide solutions, to at least raise complaint or feedback on their service.

 

It is making it extremely difficult to go on using eBay.

Which device or browser are you using?  If the app or mobile browser,  try all your above instructions with a laptop / PC and use Chrome,  that seems to work best with eBay.

 

If your verification still fails try CS again but I recommend contacting CS first thing when the lines open for ' live agents at 8 a.m. on weekdays,  9 a.m. weekends,  as there's more chance of Dublin answering,  only speak to them.

 

It's a trial to reach a live agent as there's currently no direct line however with the link below just keep trying and insist to the AI bot you wish to speak to an agent and they do eventually put you through!

 

This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

Lines open 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. on weekdays


9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on weekends.


Automated agents will be available on chat outside of the above hours.

 

As said,  it's not easy to get through to CS, you just have to have perseverance! Instead of a quick option, 'Contact Us' which put you direct to a CS agent, you have to scroll past ' How Can We Help you today, to the very bottom and click on the Contact Us below Need More Help?

 

That takes you to an annoying AI bot but if you persevere keep asking questions it cannot answer and Insist on an agent, they do finally put you through and say .... waiting time ** minutes!
