They must think we are all Fools!
No more needs to be said. Most of my stuff is standard large letter rate so I'm not paying £2.70 for a large letter that costs £1.55.
I will be leaving once my listings are finished or I delete them, and I will no longer be buying from ebay.

In the email, it says 'There’ll be a few exceptions, such as low-priced, bulky items, and local pick-up, which aren’t eligible for Simple Delivery.'
The Community Team have confirmed that 'low priced' means items under £10 and under 100g. So, as long as your low cost items can be sent as a Large Letter, you will still be able to use your own postage.

OK, something I was not aware of as I had not seen this before today. There is going to be an opt-out as regards low value items. So I have just used the web chat facility and got this from ebay CS.
Me: Re. Simple Delivery. You say "The option to opt out will only be available for items under £10 and weighing 100g or under" Is there a size limit for this?
Reply: "I understand the concern in regards with the simple delivery, as of now just this has been mentioned - We recognize that some items will be cheaper to post in an envelope, so if the item is under 100g and less than £10, it does not need to go through Simple Delivery "
Me: What size envelope?
Reply: "Envelope has been mentioned, the exact size limit has not been mentioned yet.
The back end team is generating another email wherein the sizes and the costs will be mentioned as well.
These details will be provided to you soon within few days. You will have a detailed information in regards with this on the email that will be rolled out "
Me: Ok, Thanks. Perhaps ebay could post this on the community pages.
Reply: "Yes, we agents have highlighted that as well, so eBay is currently working on this, as we agents completely understand the trouble it causes and how difficult it is. So, we have highlighted this, eBay is indeed working on it, so it might as well be posted soon on the community pages"

Thanks. They have not yet decided on the envelope size so 'Large' may not be included - see my follow up.
