Hi all I'm fairly new to selling on eBay and this hasn't happened up until now but today someone ordered a diecast car from my shop for 4.99 then cancelled within minutes and eBay said I had to cancel so I did but what I'd like to know is why was the refund took from my funds when I haven't even been paid from the buyer who cancelled have i made a mistake will eBay give me my 3.96 back

eBay always take refunds from seller's funds or payment source.   You will keep the payment when it clears.
