Hello,
I am a watch repairer. About 2 months ago (i have 8-10 week turnaround) i bought what i believed to be a genuine factory sealed NOS Rolex crown https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/146318179274
I contacted the seller and told him and he just declined my return. This cost £135 and i'm now at a loss. I cant (and wouldn't) sell this to someone because its fake and a poor fit aside from that, it's illegal for me to sell as it has a Rolex trademark on it.
I have tried to go further with this but eBay's automated response is 'no appeal' is there anyway eBay can manually intervene as i guess that is whats needed here.

You cannot report this to eBay as they do not offer warranties or guarantees on items, just that they are just as described on receipt. If they are not, a buyer has 30 days under eBay's 30 day MBG, Money Back Guarantee policy, to return the item for a full refund.
If you bought this from a Private seller you are too late to claim a refund. You should be in time to turn to your payment provider for help with a refund.
If purchased from a registered UK business, who offered a guarantee and is now not upholding this, then turn to Citizens Advice for your next steps, if you wish to take this further.

I thought as much. He has shifted on this and allowed me to return it however i am suspicious of him so taken all steps i can to prove i sent it back, i even recorded a video re-packing it and sealing it up and sent him a picture message of the post office reciept with tracking numbers etc.
Thanks for your reply.

Words fail me, i left him negative feedback, completely honest, not offensive at all and with photo's as proof.
I got a call back from ebay today and discussed this at length. I was told by there rep that the feedback i left him was acceptable. He said it was and that it would not be removed.
Less than 24 hours later, he has had the feedback removed, i am not kidding. Out of 1500+ feedbacks i have left, Only 2 that i can think of over 24 years were negative and both got removed. Unless exceptional, i do not leave feedback on a system that has a positive only bias.
