How do I update tracking number on upgraded postage?

Hi, I advertised my item with RM special delivery, but eBay overrode this with simple delivery and did standard tracking at the point of sale.

I've upgraded the postage by paying for it myself via RM but now have no way to update the tracking number.

What do I do? My concern is that eBay won't payout to me because I've not used their stupid delivery label.

The option to change tracking number has been removed.   You can message your buyer with the tracking details and if necessary you would be able to add the new number to an "Item not received" case if one was opened.     You will still get paid but the payment may be held for 14 days.

eBay have removed  the option to add your own tracking number,you can message the buyer with the new number and use it to defend a case should the buyer open one,your payment will be held for a minimum of 14 days.

There was no need to use your own Special delivery as Simple Delivery covers items for up to £750 where it is offered on listings. Your buyer will be refunded the shipping cost within 40 days.
