I had this message come through yet I have not sent any messages apart from confirming the book a customer was after was Not the one they were looking for, so no sale was made

Did I do something wrong by doing this??

I tried to see the email sent but it would not allow me to see it

Also not being privy to the exact message you wrote all I can glean from eBay's message is the fact you were describing another book which was not listed on your eBay listing,  and although this information was helpful to the buyer , it didn't have anything to do with the items you were selling, hence the tenuous thought you were ' leading them to an off eBay sale'.

Those bots do seem a little over eager when it comes to  ' understanding'  and implementing eBay policy!  🤔

Thanks but the customer was just checking with me about a book I had as he
was looking for a different edition which I did not have and I told him so
