Poor description and response

Hi, purchased a J'adore gift set, small perfume, body lotion and shower gel as a Christmas gift, when it arrived the box was stained, worn and the body lotion had been opened, not sure if it was used but the safety cap (foil cover) was not in the box or on the tube itself. I requested a return as i cannot present this to a family member as a gift and within seconds the seller refused with no details or reasoning behind their decision, how do i get eBay or someone involved to rectify this, if it was Highstreet store or even amazon it would be resolved in seconds?

How did you  ' request the return' ?

 

If just through a message asking the seller to refund and they refused,  you can still get your refund.  

 

You need to open the correct return case,  one for item not as described >>  Does not Match Description.

 

eBay has a 30 day MBG Money Back Guarantee policy written on every listing which guarantees a full refund if you proceed this way....

 

If you are still within 30 days of the item's last estimated date for delivery you are guaranteed a full refund.
 
Go right of the item in your Purchase History and from More Actions select... Return this item selecting the reason Item Does Not Match Description or Photos.

 

The seller needs to accept this case within 3 days and refund,  if they want their item back first , they need to pay for that fully tracked return postage, then on receipt of their item they have 48 hours to refund you.  If they don't ,  need to escalate the case,  ask eBay to step in, and they'll force the refund.

 

Never listen to any excuse or promise from the seller to close the case early,  and do not forget to escalate.
