Paying via PayPal through eBay App missing

Hi

I have the eBay app on my phone

.

When purchasing a item

I was able to pay via PayPal through the eBay app all the time before

But now its only giving me the option to open a browser to pay via PayPal

Is this external browser site a verified eBay PayPal site as i feel unconformable paying this way I would much prefer to pay through the eBay app..... Because my PayPal account is connected to my Bank which has life changing amounts of money in it and i only ever use PayPal for eBay nothing else.

Everything looks in order

Is this the new way to pay now through the external browser Not through the eBay app anymore....

and would it be better for me to create a new PayPal account that's not connected to my bank and use that account, so for example if i want to purchase something from eBay transfer money from my PayPal account associated with my bank to the eBay only purchasing PayPal account and then buy

Have you got the Paypal app installed?

Usually when i pay on eBay it redirects to the Paypal app to confirm payment

Hi

No I don't have the PayPal app on my phone and its not been a issue before as in the eBay app (in the photos) PayPal is the only option i have used to buy items I don't sell on eBay anymore its been years, but i always buy from eBay. I use a web browser if i need to log into PayPal (which is very rarely) and it will ring my landline phone with a code to enter every time i log in as i wouldn't want to have the PayPal and my mobile number associated together in case my mobile is stolen the people can get access to my PayPal account.

I didn't have a issue with PayPal ringing my landline when paying inside the eBay app but it means that i'm now been directed to a Browser by eBay to pay & that means i will get a landline phone code every time i buy off eBay

Cant you pay through PayPal via the eBay app anymore......

Is the browser link that eBay directs you to Safe.......

Should I create a new PayPal account not associated with my Bank & solely used for purchasing from eBay

The reason being my main PayPal account is linked to my bank which has life changing amounts of money in it,  hence why I'm being very careful

The browser link should be safe as long as you have the most current version.

You are not allowed to Paypal personal accounts only 1 personal and one business
