Hello there.
iv asked to return 3 gel polishes I purchased as they are not genuine.
the seller has accepted and asked for my pay pal information to pay back postage.
I don’t understand why I can’t have a returns label for them and then get my refund automatically sent to me?

Nope, you do not have to give the seller any PayPal information, just proceed this way.
You have received an item not as described, go right of the item in your Purchase History and from More Actions select... Return this item selecting the reason Item Does Not Match Description or Photos.
If this was 3 separate purchases, then open 3 separate cases.
The seller needs to accept this case within 3 days and refund, if they want their item back first , they need to pay for that fully tracked return postage, then on receipt of their item they have 48 hours to refund you. If they don't , need to escalate the case, ask eBay to step in, and they'll force the refund.
Never listen to any excuse or promise from the seller to close the case early, and do not forget to escalate.

adding to the advice already given -
If it's the item you left the negative feedback for, it and the seller are located in China so there would be problems issuing a prepaid returns label.

You open a case, the seller provides a label or pays you the return postage in advance, if they do neither you get ebay to step in.
As long as you have an open case and, if necessary, tracked postage to China, ebay will help with the refund.
I suggest you avoid sellers in China for anything you might want to return.
