Ebay

I need Ebay to contact me.  Their automated ai listing removal tool has failed,  the appeal has failed,  as the agent obviously didn't understand the listing.  There's a few listing's that are for circuit breakers,  showing the positive and negative being connected to it,  via picture and in description. I actually had Ebay call me about one and they agreed after they understood it,  removed the listing.  There are more listing's with the same item,  same description and pictures but I can't get a number anywhere to contact Ebay or have them contact me again,  so I can explain joining the positive and negative if a lead acid battery will likely explode, that's just for starters.  Doing what the listing says,  and shows in the pictures to do could result in a fire too, which could kill people, adults, children, animals. This has to be taken down.  It's only a matter of time before one of these circuit breaker item descriptions causes serious harm, and it will be too late then for the person and Ebay in court.  I'm trying to save lives and help Ebay. When they realise their mistake!!! Like trying to fill a bucket with water that's full of holes really!!!!!!

eBay work on cases and may not hear worries from a member as this could be coming from a disgruntled member or even a competitor in the same field.

You have spotted a potentially dangerous item being sold , contact eBay about this but you will not be told any action that may or may not be taken.

I strongly recommend contacting CS 8 a.m. on a weekday when the lines open for ' live agents' as then, there's more chance of Dublin answering.

This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/eua?id=5275&mkevt=1&mkpid

Lines open 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. on weekdays

9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on weekends.

Automated agents will be available on chat outside of the above hours.

It's not easy to get through to CS, you just have to have perseverance! Instead of a quick option, 'Contact Us' which put you direct to a CS agent, you have to scroll past ' How Can We Help you today, to the very bottom and click on the Contact Us below Need More Help?

That takes you to an annoying AI bot but if you persevere keep asking questions it cannot answer and Insist on an agent, they do finally put you through and say .... waiting time ** minutes!

All you can do is report the listing. There is no guarantee that eBay will take any action.

eBay makes it very clear in the user agreement that sellers are entirely responsible for their listings. eBay even warns buyers that they don't guarantee the quality of items sold here, or that they will be truthfully described, safe or even legal. Who would buy circuit breakers from a shop that stated this? But these are the risks buyers have agreed to accept when buying here - although most don't even know this.  eBay is a jungle.

if eBay doesn't take any action, have you tried informing the sellers themselves? They might even thank you for this. (Or not!)

If the sellers are registered in the UK they are required to display their trading address and you could contact their local trading standards office.
