Selling in ebay

Hi, this is my first time selling on eBay. I am about to post my first sale, is there any way to make sure that the item I have posted is the same as the buyer will received, should I record a short video or close the package in front of the courier, just to make sure and avoid and future problems like for example the buyer to claim that I what I have sent him is something completely different that the item I posted ?

No, if buyer claims not as described, you have no choice but to supply a return label and on return refund in full.

Risk of selling on ebay, but this is only something that may happen on expensive items.

Nope,  no videos or photos will do,  if the buyer opens a case for item not as described.

What I can suggest is to start off selling lower value items, build up a good record of selling,  and feedback.  Scammers do look for new buyers, low feedback scores low selling record, and selling expensive items so that combination is more likely to be targeted.

Always post after eBay have told you that the buyer has paid,   only to the name and address eBay provide on the delivery order for the item,  post to no other if the buyer requests this.

If anything out of the ordinary is asked of you from a buyer,  come to us here before you act, always someone around to help you.

Thank you , yes at the end I think this is the best as the tress and risk is not worthed, and eBay has no process in place where this can be guaranteed. You can send apples and the buyer can claim that has received pears .

Love the analogy, and yes any online selling is open to scams and abuse.  They are rare,  that is,  the good guys do outnumber the bad,  but they do happen.

A wise ol' owl once said here,  if you cannot afford to lose it , don't sell items online.

"eBay has no process in place where this can be guaranteed."

As far as I know no online selling platform has any such process in place.

The vast majority of buyers are honest.
