"I open a case to return but close it."

why did you close it rather than ask eBay to step in?

Then the seller did indeed scam you out of any chance of getting ebay to help you.  Can you make a claim through your funding source?

In the UK, sellers with hundreds of pairs of brand new trainers should have a business account, not a private account.

Sellers who are trading illegally on a private account are best avoided.

As advised, try your payment provider - debit/credit card/Paypal and start a chargeback.

It is a private account but the seller has sold over 250 brand new pairs of trainers, from sizes 5.5.to 10, in the last 3 months.

Private accounts (UK) are for selling your own unwanted stuff, not for selling items you have bought to sell.

That is trading and needs a business account.

Contact your bank or Paypal, depending on how you paid.

They will have a system - if they operate the same as UK banks.
